2012-13 Lincoln County Fair Queen Pageant

Not your average pageant... Last night the Lincoln County Fair Queen Pageant crowned honored a new court. I handed down the crown to Miss McKenna Wilmes a well disserved, confident, beautiful young lady.

Pageants are for priss... My original thought with the idea of such an event. Yet, this 'canned' opinion was quickly renewed after my very first practice last summer running for 2012 LCF Queen. Pageants can be a rat race, cat clawing event if you make it such. For myself, and those who I have observed it has served as a wonderful growing experience. Growth as an individual, community member, friend, competitor, and woman.

As retiring Queen I will hold fast to the timeless memories this opportunity has afforded me and forever be thankful for the ways it has molded me into a woman I am proud to be.
